Firm, silky, and slow to melt, this traditional balm is our homage to old-world apothecary care—a salve-style formula made simply, but powerfully, with ingredients your skin will recognize and love. Created from hand-rendered pasture-raised tallow, botanical oils, and the timeless magic of lavender and sea buckthorn, it offers deep, lasting nourishment for dry, cracked, or sensitive skin.

Unlike our whipped cream version, this balm holds its shape and melts gradually on contact—creating a protective barrier without heaviness or grease. It’s ideal for rough patches, over-washed hands, weather-worn faces, elbows, knees, feet, or anywhere in need of calming, restorative care.

For centuries, our ancestors turned to tallow for skincare—valuing its closeness to our skin’s own natural oils. Rich in fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K, and packed with skin-loving lipids, tallow supports barrier repair, elasticity, and radiant health without synthetic fillers or preservatives.

We’ve added:

🌿 Sea Buckthorn Oil – Bright, golden, and loaded with omega-7, beta-carotene, and vitamin C. This oil encourages skin regeneration, eases inflammation, and helps reduce the appearance of scars, sun damage, and irritation.

💜 Lavender Essential Oil – Calms redness, supports healing, and adds a gentle herbal scent that soothes both skin and spirit. Naturally antibacterial and grounding.

🍇 Grapeseed Oil – Fast-absorbing and high in linoleic acid, grapeseed helps tone, soften, and balance the skin. Its lightweight, non-comedogenic nature makes it especially friendly for acne-prone or sensitive complexions.

🌸 Scent: Natural and subtle, with a soft herbal finish from the lavender. No synthetic fragrance.

🌿 Ingredients & Sourcing

Beef Tallow: Hand-rendered from 100% grass-finished, pasture-raised cows on a Level 4-GAP Certified family farm in North Carolina. We use high-quality suet and traditional wet and dry methods—rendered 4–5 times for an ultra-clean, creamy balm packed with nutrients and in harmony with our skin.

Squalane (Olive-Derived): Lightweight, silky, and non-greasy. Deeply hydrates without clogging pores.

Extra Virgin Olive Oil: Antioxidant-rich and deeply moisturizing. Supports the skin’s barrier while calming irritation.

Grapeseed Oil: Balances oil production, tones, and hydrates. Especially helpful for sensitive or blemish-prone skin.

Sea Buckthorn Oil: Encourages cell regeneration and improves skin texture and tone.

Lavender Essential Oil: Soothes, purifies, and gently heals.
